We Should Praise God Now
United We Will Go: 31st Atlantic Union Conference Constituency Session Report
Atlantic Union Conference president Pierre E. Omeler, directors, staff, pastors, and conference presidents have joined together to share year-end greetings as we look forward to God's presence in our lives and the new year. May God Bless you all!
"Christ is the source of every right impulse. He is the only one that can implant in the heart enmity against sin. Every desire for truth and purity, every conviction of our own sinfulness, is an evidence that His spirit is moving upon our hearts."--Steps to Christ, p. 26 #AUConf
“We shall be tested and tried; we may be called to spend wakeful nights; but let such times be spent in earnest prayer to God, that He may give understanding, and quicken the mind to discern the privileges that are ours”—Messages to Young People, p. 26.
“Whatever your anxieties and trials, spread out your case before the Lord. Your spirit will be braced for endurance. The way will be open for you to disentangle yourself from embarrassment and difficulty.”—The Ministry of Healing, p. 72.
The Atlantic Union Conference family is saddened to learn of the passing of Daniel R. Jackson, retired North American Division president. We join the North American Division family in prayer for Donna, his wife, and their family.
The Unión Dominicana administration met with the Presidents and administrators of the Atlantic Union to exchange testimonials of mission impact and influence as a result of our cross union partnership. The Atlantic Union has partnered with the Dominican Union and its University (Universidad Adventista Dominicana - UNAD) over the last decade on countless mission, educational, church development, and relief efforts, all birthed out of a pairing initiative previously created by the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists. This fruitful collaboration has helped facilitate growth and evangelism throughout both of our unions. We extend our appreciation to the Dominican Union for its hospitality and gestures of gratitude, and we’re proud to call the Dominican Union our Sister-Union.
2023 President’s Meeting, where conference and Atlantic Union administrators gathered to discuss leadership and ministry in our current time. As the face of the church is changing, many pastors and church boards are in need of additional training and support, in order to navigate uncharted territories. The team discussed the action steps needed to address these issues and challenges.
