Lay Training Day a Call to All Spiritual Leaders

  • April 2020

  • New York Conference

More than 150 church leaders from around the New York Conference participated in the “2020 Lay Training Series,” sponsored by the New York Conference. John Bradshaw, It Is Written speaker/director, Miguel Crespo, New York Conference president, and Claudio Gomez, New York Conference executive secretary, were the seminar presenters.

Under the title “Calling All Spiritual Leaders,” the training took place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on February 23, at Union Springs church. Pastors, elders, and other local church leaders actively participated in the training. The 2020 Lay Training Series was designed to empower local leaders to preach publicly and privately.

Bradshaw presented, via teleconference, a seminar on preaching and evangelism. Crespo spoke about safety in church environments, while Gomez’s presentation was dedicated to building healthy relationships.

The day’s program ended in the afternoon with a town hall meeting where leaders and members had the opportunity to express their feelings, opinions, and concerns to the conference leaders.
