New Vans Embody Community’s Dedication to Service

  • June 2024

  • Bermuda Conference

In Bermuda, where the spirit of generosity and faithfulness continues to thrive, the Bermuda Conference experienced a remarkable display of benevolence as church members came together to procure two much-needed vans destined for the Lord’s work on the island.

The first van found its home in the Bermuda Conference’s Adventist Community Services Department under the dedicated leadership of Dora Baker. A faithful St. David’s church member, moved by a desire to serve their community, generously donated this vehicle. This act of kindness symbolizes the congregation’s compassion and underscores the commitment to uplifting those in need.

The second van, a gift to the Bermuda Institute Music Department, represents a harmonious blend of faith and education. Spearheaded by Kenneth Manders, Bermuda Conference president, this van was acquired through the collective efforts of constituents who wholeheartedly embraced the challenge to donate funds. Their enthusiastic response reflects a shared belief in the power of collective giving and a willingness to answer the call to serve.

The significance of these donations extends beyond mere vehicles; they represent a tangible embodiment of the community’s dedication to serving others. Both the Adventist Community Service department and the Bermuda Institute Music Department play integral roles in fostering a strong sense of community within Bermuda. With the addition of these vans, their capacity to reach and minister to individuals across the island is greatly enhanced.

As the vans traverse the streets of Bermuda, they serve as moving symbols of hope, compassion, and unity. They stand as a testament to the unwavering commitment of God’s people to extend a helping hand wherever it is needed. In a world often filled with uncertainty, these acts of kindness remind us that even the smallest gestures can make a profound difference in the lives of others.
