The Southern New England Conference (SNEC) praises God for a record-breaking 1,017 baptisms and professions of faith in 2023. Until now, the record was 718 in one year. “I believe the Lord is blessing the unity of His church,” said Bob Folkenberg, Jr., SNEC president. “There’s an urgency—a passion—for mission. But I believe the power of the Holy Spirit is working because there’s unity of spirit, unity of message, and unity of mission.”
The conference is also delighted to report a 10.66 percent increase in tithe, which will allow them to continue to grow God’s work in the coming year. God has also blessed them with five new church plants and five companies (church plants with under 50 members) that have grown to church status.
“We’re grateful for a great pastoral team, a hard-working education team, and a dedicated office staff who work together with a focus on mission,” Folkenberg added. “We also extend a special word of gratitude to all the lay leaders of local churches whose faithful service and dedication to Jesus Christ have helped to make this possible. Southern New England Conference is anticipating what God will do in 2024 as we work Together in Mission!”
