For three summers, he has volunteered to help teachers move and store furniture, helping to make sure students return to a welcoming classroom environment. UNION SPRINGS ACADEMY
Kayla Eve Trombley is this year’s Caring Heart Award recipient. She is a senior whose life is a testament to Christ’s character, recognizing outstanding servant leadership and unwavering dedication to Christian service. Guided by biblical principles, she has embodied selflessness, diligence, and a commitment to making a difference within our school and beyond.

Growing up in this community, she has spent the last four years contributing to the fabric of our school mission. She has embraced every service opportunity, participating in multiple mission trips where she has worked tirelessly to restore and rehabilitate colleges, repair homes for those in need, and bring hope through acts of kindness. Her dedication extends beyond the school’s walls, as she has been a cornerstone in her home church’s Vacation Bible School programs, leading with compassion and grace.

Her commitment to service is not limited to organized programs—it is woven into her daily life. As a Pathfinder, she has demonstrated a desire to grow spiritually and personally. But her influence does not stop there. Her family has also played a vital role in welcoming international students into their home during breaks, offering them a place of warmth and belonging.

Academically, she is an exemplary student, consistently striving for excellence. Her discipline and determination have set her apart, and her contributions as a student worker in the Registrar’s Office have been instrumental in the department’s success. As the Senior Class President, she leads with integrity, ensuring that this year’s senior events were meaningful and successful, and leaving a lasting impact on her classmates. Her leadership, coupled with her caring heart, is a beacon of inspiration for all who have had the privilege of knowing her.

SLA is honored to present this award to Kayla Eve Trombley. May she continue to be a light in the lives of those she encounters, carrying forward the spirit of service and love.
