North Bronx Possibility Ministries Come Alive

The North Bronx church’s Possibility Ministries is not only alive, but they are championing the voice of triumph as they celebrate the dignity, value, and potential of all individuals, especially those with special needs.

Possibility Ministries, a global initiative of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, does not ignore disabilities or losses but instead emphasizes the unique possibilities within each person. The North Bronx church recently led a celebration of this vision. Beginning with Sabbath School, the superintendent made it a priority to include individuals with disabilities in every aspect of the day’s worship services. The program featured special highlights of the achievements and contributions of individuals with disabilities, inspiring the congregation with stories of perseverance and impact.

During the divine service, Lois Bookhardt-Murray of the First church in White Plains delivered a powerful and spirit-filled sermon titled “The King Is Calling.” She reminded the congregation that the King of Kings calls each of us amid life’s obstacles and challenges. Jesus came “to seek and to save the lost,” offering hope and purpose to all.

The afternoon program featured an inspirational mini-concert and several moving presentations. Among the performers was Mary Grace, an accomplished pianist born without her right forearm, who shared her gift with grace and power. North Bronx church continues to celebrate God’s work and the possibility He provides to all who believe.
