The South Brooklyn church’s Adventist Community Services (ACS) department held a men’s winter clothing and coat drive on February 2. Members were blessed to have had the opportunity to serve more than 100 men and, to their surprise, most of the clothing was gone in less than one hour.
The church continues to serve lunch weekly and take time to encourage and pray with the homeless men who visit the church. South Brooklyn church is located directly across from the street from the Atlantic Men’s Shelter.
Several of the men expressed their appreciation, but the volunteers admit that they received the greatest blessing. One attendee asked to join the ACS team, and another asked to be baptized.
South Brooklyn church appreciates the leadership of Keicha Gosling, Northeastern Conference Adventist Community Services Center executive director, who worked closely with the team and donated several men’s coats for the drive. The members of South Brooklyn church look forward to God’s continued leading as they share His love in tangible ways.
