Every year, along with overseeing more than 300 conference employees, 232 churches and missions, 16 schools, and the business affairs of the corporation, Northeastern Conference president Daniel Honoré travels to the various churches to encourage the local pastors and members, as well as provide insight for projects. In the spring of 2021, Honoré traveled to many areas. Listed below is a brief pictorial summary of a few of those trips.
Berea Church, Boston, Massachusetts
“[We had] wonderful fellowship with the Berea church in Boston [on May 29]. Following the service, the church dedicated a new cargo van [that will be] used by the Adventist Community Services department to transport food [to help combat] food insecurity in Boston. The van was funded through a non-profit grant.”
Everett Hispanic Church, Everett, Massachusetts
“I traveled to the Boston area to inaugurate the new church home of the Everett Hispanic church (formerly the Cambridge church) [on May 22]. After years of dreaming and praying, God has answered their pleas. The former Masonic lodge has been converted to a house of prayer for the salvation of souls.”
Emmanuel Temple Church, Buffalo, New York
“While in Buffalo, I prayed with local church leaders at the site of the future Emmanuel Temple church on Genesee Avenue in Buffalo, New York. I praise God for the fellowship experience in Western New York. They are presently . . . meeting in rented quarters, for the time being. The church plans to break ground in the near future on a brand-new church facility.”
Pioneer Memorial Church, Niagara Falls, New York
“I enjoyed fellowshipping with the Pioneer Memorial church in Niagara Falls, New York. This congregation has the distinction of being, geographically, the farthest church from the [Northeastern] Conference office. Its members are faithful in proclaiming the Adventist message in this corner of the field. Pastor Rodney Grissom is passionate about ministry.”
